Types of Facelift Procedures
1. Deep Plane Facelift
The deep plane facelift involves repositioning the deeper tissues of the face by releasing key ligaments and repositioning the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) and the skin as one.
2. Mini Facelift
The mini facelift aims to reduce visible signs of aging by focusing on the lower third of the face. The jowls, chin, jawline, and neck all receive subtle enhancement.
3. Ponytail Facelift
The ponytail facelift mimics the tightening effects of wearing a ponytail by using small incisions in the hairline to pull back the mid face especially.
4. Liquid Facelift
The liquid facelift is not actually an invasive surgery. Instead, Botox and injectable fillers are used to reduce and smooth wrinkles.
5. Vampire Facelift
The vampire facelift uses injectables along with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) to improve the texture and tone of the facial skin.
6. Non-Surgical Facelift
The non-surgical facelift may involve techniques such as lasers, fat injections, dermal fillers, or microneedling to smooth and tighten the facial skin for a more youthful, radiant appearance.
7. Vertical Facelift
Whereas a traditional facelift tends to tighten the skin in a horizontal direction, the vertical facelift lifts the facial tissues upward. On select patients, this can provide a more natural-looking result.
8. Endoscopic Facelift
The endoscopic facelift uses an endoscope (small camera) and precise tools to carefully lift and rejuvenate the face. Ideally, the procedure provides minimal scarring as incisions are very small.
9. Thread Facelift
The thread facelift uses medical grade thread beneath the skin to gently lift and tighten. This causes minimal downtime and provides immediate results.
